Update on descendants
I just ran a statistics report on my data base and find that I now have 19,746 direct descendants of the immigrant Ambrose. Of these I have some 10,493 spouses and that implies that I am still missing large chunks since the missing spouses are often males and therefore I am unable to continue the line of a female Ramaley since I don't know her married name.
The good news is that more and more sources are coming on-line. For example, Pennsylvania has allowed the death certificates to be published for deaths occurring more than 50 years ago. Although this data base is available through ancestry.com, it has not been updated in the last few years. Still, it is very useful since you can search on maiden names as well as married names and the certificates often give dates of birth as well as the date of death. Parents of the deceased are usually given as well.
Newspapers.com is another source where papers are made available with indexing that is pretty good.
My genealogical goal is to contact cousins and share what I know of their line in order to make sure future family historians can track backwards and also find contemporaries who might be helpful in filling in some blanks. I try to contact folks by email so that I can send a pdf attachment at no cost to me. The attachments often run more than 30 pages by the time all the source citations are included. If there is a Remaley (or Ramaley or Remaly, etc) in your ancestry, please contact me and I'll try to fill in some info for you.

I have recently come across the name Remaley. All I know is that my ancestor's name is Mary Remaley. She married Joseph Roberts. There son is Rush Roberts (my great grandfather).Rush's death certificate states his mother is Mary Remaley and father Joseph. This Mary seems to be born 14 Oct 1825 in the Shickshinny area of Penna. She dies 10 Mar 1895. As near as I can tell. I have never used a bog before so please forgive me if I make mistakes. Any information would be greatly appreciated as this is the line I can find no information on. Blessings and thanks Reva
